So I decided that since I'm going to be talking about NaNoWriMo all of next month I would talk about something different this time. Since Halloween is upon us, and we can dress up at my work. (I work in a mall.) Since I'm the only one willing to dress up I decided that's what I was going to do, plus all the stores in the mall get to take part in costume judging contest. I know I'm not going to win, but still.

While I was at work today, I was informed that are pumpkin carving contestant isn't able to partake this time as she's been over loaded with assignments for her classes. So I figured that it would be the one that we wouldn't partake in, well I was wrong the boss doesn't believe in pulling us out, especially when there's a money prize that our store could win. So guess who he nominated to do it instead? That's right, me. I admit I like carving pumpkins for Halloween, but it would have been nice if I was given some more notice, as I have to not only go and get said pumpkin, but I also have to decide what I'm going to carve as well. (She told him on Thursday, I worked on Friday.)

So about an hour after I got home and flipped through some pictures I had found online, I came up with my idea. So now I still have to get the pumpkin in the morning and have it done as much as possible before I start dying my hair tomorrow evening. I can always finish it Wednesday morning, since it doesn't have to be at work till around 4pm that day.

What do you do for Halloween?

November is coming

So with November quickly falling upon us...I was lucky enough to get my hands on my schedule for next week. The down side is that it looks like I'll have to work on Nov 1, even though i had originally booked it off. So I'm a little sad that I won't be able to start writing right at 12am, instead I'll be writing sometime during the day. My manager is going to see weither or not she can switch the me to the morning shift instead, which will give me more time for writing. So yay for that, but I won't know until Sunday at 1pm, so I'm not excited or anything at the moment since I don't want to jinx it.

(Note: It seems my little editor is on vacation already, so sorry about any spelling mistakes.)

On a side note....I feel kind of bad, I've only attended 1 of my critique meetings and it hasn't just been because of work, but I also don't have my next chapter done or anything really for them to look over. I don't want the members in the group to feel like I'm avoiding them or anything, since the first time I got together with them, I got mostly all negative feed back. That was mainly because I only edited the story once and not a second time (like i always do), to make sure all the new parts match with the older scenes. I've spoken to a couple of members and they understand, but I still feel bad that I haven't been attending even though I have nothing for the group.

Should I make plans for the evening of November 1st with other writers or should I wait till I know for sure whats going to happen?

I'm excited for November

I'm excited this year for November, not only am I taking part in NaNoWriMo once again, but I'm adding even more to my month by taking part in the Epic Month of Blog Posts. Could I possibly make next month any more stressful? Ow...wait yes I can its called work.

This year I've decided that I'm not only going to aim for 75K words but I'm also going to try and write 2 stories. Last year I came short on my goal but still got my 50K, I also managed to write one complete story (I got stuck on the ending in my second week) and managed to move on to a second one. The 2 years prior to last year, I only ever wrote 1 story and either came over or under 50K. At the end of the month it blew my mind by how much I had gotten done.So this year I decided to stake my goals higher and we'll see how I do come Dec 1st.

Like I said I'll also be taking part in Epic Month of Blog Posts, along with some fellow bloggers (a couple that i had met last year during NaNo). The objective of this is to write a 50+ word blog every day, during the month of Nov. This is going to be quite the challenge for me, as I rarely blog (I admit it this is only my 4th blog). I chose to do this as a way to get used to blogging, but not only that to see how creative I can be with coming up with things to blog about. (Wish me luck as I have no idea as to what any of the topics are going to be about.) You never know I may do one about my cat, that is if i can't come up with something. (I promise there won't be 30 posts about my cat or my stories during that time. *crosses fingers*)

What do you think some of my topics for next month should be about?
